Romantic Dunes Bridal Session with Brooke Nicole Events

Brooke from Brooke Nicole Events texted me about two hours before this dunes bridal session happened. I was just sitting in my yoga pants contemplating which Netflix show to watch when she said, “Do you want to photograph a styled bride today at the dunes?”. Yes. Yes I do. It was the best surprise, especially after so many postponed weddings last year. This was also my first time photographing a bride in a cape and I am all in on this trend. Veils are pretty, no doubt, but I find the brides usually only wear them during the ceremony because of wind and hugs creating a pull on their hair. Plus, a cape adds are air of confidence.

We arrived at the dunes with just enough sunlight to run around and enjoy the golden pick sunset. Our model, Rae, was game for whatever ideas I had (which mostly involved lots of running in sand which is kind of like running in snow – not easy). We’re so lucky to have a diversity of beautiful locations nearby. I hope 2021 brings more sessions on the dunes.

Thank you Epiphany Boutique for providing the gorgeous dress (and amazing bridal cape!). Rae, you were so great for running around on the dunes (no easy feat, especially in heels). The Queen’s Bees took your natural beauty and helping you glow. You’re going to be stunning in your wedding this year. Brooke Edelman, you are such a talent with floral design. Thanks to Serengeti West for lending us the bling and of course, last but not least, Brooke Nicole Events for looping me in at the last minute. I had a blast creating with you. Everything you touch is gorgeous.
