Katie and Neal’s Oyster Ridge wedding day was the kind of magic that you hope for during the months of planning and work. We were all expecting a pretty toasty day, but we ended up with the perfect breezy ceremony under Oyster Ridge’s beautiful oak tree. They had the best food from Gusto on the Go and Dan from Come Alive Entertainment kept the party going. I’m forever grateful to Azurae for keeping all the moving parts organized and all the vendors on the same page. It was a dream team.
Here’s a few words from the bride, Katie about their choice of Oyster Ride and some advice for future couples:
What made you choose Oyster Ridge for your wedding venue? We chose Oyster Ridge because it was so peaceful and serene and we liked the feeling of seclusion. We also LOVED the big tree that we got married under (that was my number one thing I wanted). It really was exactly what we were looking for!
What advice would you give for couples planning a wedding at Oyster Ridge? It is breezy up there so make sure all decor, etc is wind-proof! It will be warm in the summer months but the breeze makes it feel so nice outside (no one complained about the weather, they actually talked about how they enjoyed it – we were very worried about this). The barn does get warm so it’s best to eat outside with the breeze and you can watch the sunset. Dancing in the barn isn’t bad but we kept the porta-coolers in there and as unattractive as they were, they were very much needed.
Is there anything that you did that you’re so happy you did? Hiring a live band, having a photo booth inside the barn, and riding the mule to do the sunset photo shoot out on the outskirts of the property!
